THE go-to place for an incredible freediving experience. Even if you are a beginner the team makes you feel at home and work around your needs with the utmost professionalism. The cenotes themselves are an otherworldly experience worth the trip. PranaMaya shop is also well stocked up with gear that you can buy. Julien and his team were absolutely amazing from the start to the finish at Prana Maya freediving. We were looked after in every aspect of the trip with meticulous attention to detail, humour and camaraderie. Just completed my AIDA 2 with Tristan. He is a super cool person and fantastic instructor. Very thorough with a superb knowledge of all aspects of the sport from training to competition to theory. He also struck me with his thoughtfulness, often responding to questions or regular conversation with a deep level of analysis he seems to operate at by default. I hit 15m on day one, 20m on day 2 multiple times. After I returned home to SF, I did some pool practice in the same deep pool I was using prior to this training, and everything felt completely different. Like I was already on a totally different level. The cenotes we went to were unforgettable. The communication with Julien over Whatsapp was great. Lunch was healthy and tasty. I recently completed AIDA 2 training with Tristan at PranaMaya Freediving and I am very satisfied with the experience! Tristan was an excellent instructor with keen observational skills, constructive comments for improvement, and a clear passion for the sport. I appreciated the emphasis on the quality of technique and the safety of the dive. Communication with the shop was easy and efficient, payment was streamlined, and it is very easy to stay in an Airbnb close to the shop with groceries accessible all over.
